Call of Duty 2: Big Red One preview up on EG.
I’m pleased with this piece – it’s the longest preview I’ve written, and the interview with Busic produced some excellent comments.

I do think this is one of the best I’ve seen you write. Well done.

Will it be any good on the Gamecube?
God, why did I buy a Gamecube?

Excuse my ignorance but i notice that this is just the console versions. Is the PC version the same but delayed or is it an entirely different beast?

PS I thought the British defeated Rommel in Africa?

The PC/Xbox 360 version is a completely different game. There’s supposed to be something about that on EG soon. Not sure when it’s going up.

I repeat here:
The US 1st Infantry Division fought alongside the British against Rommel in N Africa. Are you aware what the word “Allied” means? And it was the British decision to split up the division amongst their own men that caused some of Rommel’s successes. Once the Big Red One were reunited, they then had their first great victory against Rommel’s panzer divisions at Kasserine.
It’s funny how everyone assumes that any version of history in which the British don’t single-handedly win every single battle of the war must be some sort of re-written propaganda. There’s a simpler explanation for that phenomenon.

Oh Eurogamer, your accursed lack of sub-editing strikes again.
Why allow the first ‘fuck’. but then make the next ‘f***’?
Did he say ‘fump’ the second time, and you wanted to spare him the embarrassment?
Or is there a one fuck per article limit?
Like the article though, not ranting at you John.

He said “flip”. It’s way more than Eurogamer’s prepared to print.
Actually, they missed the first one. I should probably say something, but it annoys me too much that they edit quotes.
