Well, this is terribly immodest, but when recently watching a programme on close up magic, I suddenly realised how this trick could be done, and had a go.

sexy!

Yes but the important bit is that I told you to put it on YouTube. I’m the hero here.
January 3rd, 2007 on 17:33
Tom is my hero!
January 3rd, 2007 on 17:36
Okay, that was actually impressive

Oh, that one. I saw Sadowitz doing a variation on that on the telly years ago and it was immediately obvious how he did it. Still, you perform it well, better than my cack-handed, thick-fingered attempts at tricks.

It’s hardly unique to Sadowitz. It’s about as old and ordinary as a card trick gets.

I know this. Why do you think I wouldn’t know this? Please take my original comment as a childish, “hah, I worked it out before you did,” declaration. As was intended.

I know you know. But I knew you knew that I knew that you knew that I knew. See?
January 3rd, 2007 on 20:35
you have a worrying amount of time to kill.

Well, I was impressed…
…Sorry?
(In my defence, when it comes to magic tricks, my best is the “Seven” mind reading trick.)

Thanks!

I am impressed.
I am concerned about the amount of sparetime involved.
I am terrifeid that I am going to have to be shown how it is done
January 5th, 2007 on 13:24
It took me about an hour to learn. That doesn’t seem so bad.
And no, I’m not going to show you how it’s done! It’s a secret. (And if you look closely, you can figure it out, like with most card tricks).
