For no memorable reason, all three of our cats have been named after characters in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I don’t suggest you do the same, though Firefly offers up some distinct possibilities.
In fact, any favourite TV show of choice is fertile ground:
“Jayne”
“Baltar”
“Cletus Van Damme”
“Dexter” would seem to be a good fit.

Angry Death Killing Homicidal Maniac.
…or Patch, whatever works better.

Dexter’s a good one actually. I was going to say Wargasm, but whatever.

I vote for Dexter as well. I suggested it to Graham before looking at the comments, here.

Hector. Perflib.
It must be pointed out that my kitten, Finch, is in fact the Second Coming. It’s an honour to clean out her litty tray.

It’s officially Dexter.
Good call Steve, although I’m told Craig beat you to it.

I’ve just looked at the photos. Have you read Of Mice and Men? I’m oddly reminded of Lenny ;-)

Aristotle?
Remember, this is the name youwill be calliing on cold Winter nights, armed only with torch, ancient dressing gown and one slipper.
So, say to yourself – then out loud – “Come along Aristotle/Bartholomew/Henrietta(?)” and see ho you feel.
On the whole “Hey You” works, informally.
Hey! How about Ebenezer?
You could always wait to see what your mother calls it…..!

We called one of ours “Whisper” so I can second the advice about having to ball the name at the top of your voice while searching the dark streets in the rain.

I was thinking “Parton”, but Dexter’s OK, I suppose.
