Let's hold hands
Hello, welcome, and sit down. I'm John Walker, a freelance writer based in the UK, willingly swapping words for money. You can currently find my work in PC Gamer, on Eurogamer, and at the all-surpassing, world-destroying Rock, Paper, Shotgun. Amongst others. This site is the place for my idle, idle thoughts, occasional rants, meandering tales, television reviews, and photographs of a cat. Contact me by email magic. Unless it's to complain about white text on a black background.

I dread to think.

John, would you mind explaining to me the ‘Post-modernism’ Brian? I think I know why it’s funny, but…
April 13th, 2006 on 01:14
I can’t explain the Post-Modernism Brian! Whatever YOU think it means is true!
And so on.
April 13th, 2006 on 07:31
Oh so now that’s true of Brian as well? You’re over-extending this whole “Death of the Author” thing.

I don’t get it. And I admit that.
I.e., if JW was to insult me from that, it would go against his essay piece.

Bob – I’m thinking it’s like The Register’s “Strategy Boutique” thingy, in that it’s a satirical take on the corporate w@nk-speak so beloved of management consultants. That or it’s a really obscure dig at someone at Future.
April 13th, 2006 on 15:29
My apologies if I’m patronisingly preaching to the choir there though.

“The Register’s “Strategy Boutique””

I just thought it was funny… Probably not the best Brian ever though – I suspect you have yet to write that ;)
